Digital Tools I Use Every Day

This is a test post that may be subject to deletion or alteration. :P

To do my work every day, I use the digital tools listed below. <Ghost autosave just saved my bacon right there omg.>

[I should add that as of right now, I'm not affiliated with any of these tools in any way; I'm just a fan. If I ever have a post that's sponsored, I'll letcha know!]

  1. Scrivener [Writing] - Scrivener is my home base for everything writing related, and where most of my content projects live. Scrivener is a one-time license purchase unless there's a major upgrade, of which there have only been 2. And they were worth every cent. Educators and students get a discount! And it works on both Windows and MacOS, though you have to buy separate licenses for each OS. <Add Literature and Latte Link> I can't live without Scrivener [dramatic].
  2. Vivaldi [Browser] - I use the Vivaldi browser <insert link here>, which is built on Chromium and compatible with most Google Chrome extensions, and I love it! It's free! Give it a try!
  3. Proton Mail, Pass, VPN, and Drive [Mail, Password Manager, VPN Service, Secure Storage] - I pay for a Proton account, which gives me access to their email, password manager, VPN, and secure storage solutions. Proton's primary stakeholder is their non-profit Proton Foundation, which is based in Switzerland and prioritizes privacy and encryption. Basic accounts with Proton are free, but their best services are in the paid tier. I'm gradually moving my Google services over, although I do still use Google as part of my daily work.+
  4. Focus To-Do, but any Pomodoro Timer will work [Pomodoro Timer, Task Manager] - The Pomodoro Method <insert link> is one I employ every day and can dramatically say has changed my ADHD life. I have beed diagnosed with ADHD, and my brain metaphorically explodes in multiple directions all the time. <Drama much?> Dedicating chunks of time to focus and giving myself breaks helps me get stuff done. In this case, I use Focus To-Do as a very handy Pomodoro timer, but any digital or physical timer will do. I encourage you to try this method and find a Pomodoro timer you like, if it's useful. Many people, use the classic, red, tomato timer, and it works like a charm.
  5. Signal, or similar secure, internet-based messenger [Messaging, Texts, SMS] - Look, I love End-to-End Encryption (ETEE) as much as the next security nerd, but this one actually really comes in clutch when you're traveling abroad! Using a messenger that can transmit (securely) over WiFi means that you can keep messaging folks even when you're in a different country and don't/can't/won't have cellular data services. Which one you use is up to you! Some options are more secure than others, and keep in mind who owns what for your best choice. This can really come in clutch!

And that's Goatpio/Golden Goat/V out!
